Nikon
Nikon is one of the bigger names in camera sales, especially that of professional photography. The Nikon camera was often seen as an icon of the professional photography studio, though many were also sold to amateur photographers and those who were interested in occasional photography as well. Its ease of use was what made it popular among both professionals and amateurs. Though the digital age technology has brought many newcomers into the digital camera making field, the Nikon digital camera still maintains the high-end quality that is reflected in its price. While many other digital cameras tend to sell for about $300-400, Nikon’s has less than half a dozen models on their website selling for under $400. In fact, most of the 10 mega pixel models sell for over $1200. One model on their website has a suggested retailed price of $2,399, quite a steep price for the average amateur photographer, but right in line with what one would expect of a professional camera. This is perhaps due in part to Nikon’s reputation as a photographer’s camera, but it may also be the result of the Nikon camera accessories.
Like many other top name cameras, the ability for Nikon to hold up over a long period creates the need for Nikon camera parts to remain available. Though many people are switching to digital cameras, many others are retaining their original cameras because of the quality and the professionalism that is instilled into it. With so many accessories that have been available over the years, ridding oneself of all of those parts and accessories without justifiable cause seems to be a financial mistake. For that reason, many people, especially amateurs, are holding onto their original cameras and will continue to do so as long as they are working and/or they can continue to find parts for them.
Unlike some other cameras, the Nikon camera manuals are very explicit and user friendly in their instructions. Their instructions do not leave you wondering what you just read because they are clear and concise as well as simple enough for the beginner to understand. Read some Nikon camera reviews, and you will discover which camera is the best to handle the type of photography that you do, whether you’re a professional or just taking pictures of your family and friends.
